Before it’s in fashion,
it’s on porcelain

The two young Berlin avant-garde labels, Steinrohner and Blank Etiquette, have created a fantasy couture just for us.
Their inspiration: favorite patterns from Villeroy & Boch.

What happens when fashion and porcelain design meet? An explosive burst of creative energy! The young Berlin designers at Steinrohner and Blank Etiquette have proven it. They used their favorite V&B porcelain collections to develop ideas for these exclusive creations. The styles of these two youthful labels are already unmistakable. With unbelievable creativity and passion, they are quickly making their dreams of an international career a reality. We are among their biggest fans.

Take a peek inside the studios of these
popular newcomer designers here:

This extravagant dress by Steinrohner, made with the finest Fair-Trade silk sewn with metallic thread, is an interplay of transparencies. Inspired by the filigree of the Audun collection and the delicate leaves and petals of Amazonia, the designers created a silk screen print in silver – futuristic yet refined.

Traditional and completely up-to-date: The "Audun" collection.

Pure temptation

The Amazon collection is inspired by Alexander von Humboldt. Today, it is inspiring by itself with its glowing red and tropical, modern motif that makes us long for the Garden of Eden. Transfer print on polyester-coated rayon, the pattern seems to actually blossom on the high-waisted pants by Steinrohner. Smart: Cut with pinking shears, the bottoms won’t unravel.

Our advice: Don’t be afraid!

Experiment!

New exotic: The "Amazonia Anmut" collection.

Fancoloristic!

Everything but quickly done: Almost every stitch in the pattern needed to be individually placed on the computer. And every color has its own needle. “That already takes several hours,” explains Tosca Wyss from Blank Etiquette. The results are an extraordinarily fine embroidery that creates a cool mix of premium natural materials and clean lines.

Everything inspires me.

My problem is more how to filter out the inspiration

Fifteen years after NewWave revolutionized the dishware market, the design still delights porcelain lovers all over the world with its contradictoriness. Progressive forms as attention-attracting table creations, or as solo art – NewWave is a modern art for your home.

For 5 years, Amazonia has been an invitation to explore, without ever losing its fascination. The roots of the pattern go back to the tropical rain forest of the 18th century and the voluptuous drawings of Alexander von Humboldt. The world found them breathtaking then – and like gold today.
