A nice short holiday! Take a few free days and the first mild temperatures: The result is a couple of relaxed Easter days with friends and family. All that is needed now are a few decorative and food ideas for a great brunch or tea. No problem – voilà!

A NEST FOR THE FEAST
Instead of an Easter basket, why not place a Villeroy & Boch
"Bunny Family" in a "Retro" glass bowl

a fresh spring bouquet

Light blue, Rosé, Apricot or Violet: Though they sound like a child's room or the latest line of spring clothing, these colours can make a charming table decoration for this Easter. Combine crockery and accessories in gentle pastel colours with a few fresh accents in yellow and re-purpose vintage teapots, cups and glass jars in vintage look as vases or flower pots. Easter is the best time to be playful! In a flash, a surprising overall look is created that invites guests to stop and stay a while.

Why just use boring clay pots? This decorative idea will open new horizons: Plant tulips, daffodils or hyacinth bulbs in "Marie Fleur" cups and enjoy the ultimate "flower cup" that sprouts just a few days later.

Tulips, daisies or daffodils? Why decide! Just put an entire spring meadow on your Easter table. Sweet little bunnies are also a must. They are very easy to care for.

I-COLOUR

No brushes and watercolours or paint needed. Colour your breakfast eggs with plant-based dyes! It is simple and also hypo-allergenic. Simply boil fruits or vegetables with egg shells that have been previously rubbed with vinegar water (the dye will take better). Red-violet eggs use beets, grey-blue eggs require blueberries, orange-yellow use carrots and green eggs spinach. There is no limit to your imagination. The only limit is in your vegetable and fruit compartments!

PRETTY AS A PICTURE

It works just like the temporary tattoos for children but will stay in place for far longer: pretty illustrations, inspired by the plant and animal world as tattoos for your Easter eggs. Available online or in arts-and-crafts shops. We have compiled adhesive pictures that are just right for the prettiest Villeroy & Boch decors. Simply download the designs here and print them on transfer film, which is available at Amazon.

MATCH POINTS

This egg covered in sugar beads would be almost too pretty to eat, were it not already hollowed out. In order to decorate, simply place toothpicks in the holes on the top and bottom of the egg. Then spray the shell with glue and roll the egg in a small bowl filled with sugar beads. The idea is great for brightly coloured eggs.

NEW EGG CUPS

The guests get the flowers with this decoration idea. They get their own personal mini-bed, draped in a hollowed-out egg. Tip: Those who do not want to take the risk of breakage can buy more robust versions at an arts-and-crafts store. Simply place a bit of soil and a crocus, hyacinth or snowdrop in the shell, use masking tape with a name wrapped around a tooth pick and stick it in the soil.

FEAST FOR THE EYES

Pussy willows are very pretty. Lucky are those who have them in their garden. Because a quick craft project is at hand: Take a plate length twig and spray it with some paint in the colour of the service or cutlery and then place next to each setting. Practical: After the meal is finished the twigs can still be used. Such as when packing presents.

WARPED WRAPPINGS

And on purpose. Wrap a hyacinth bulb multiple times with colourful cords, thick wool or even thin silk bands and place the whole thing in a small espresso cup. The quickest floral arrangement ever is now ready! Division of labour allowed: Even the little ones can do it.
